August block: Monday, 8 August

The August block is nearing and we would like to remind you of the programme.
Monday, 8 August: Hub presentations_2 minute presentations that shows your complete design process. Detail programme will follow.

Include all group work, working models and drawings, exercises as well as file with all your sketches and rough work and sketch book.

Refer to the Hub brief for project outcomes, against which your performance will be measured.

*To foster an understanding of TECHNOLOGY and FUNCTION and the influence that technology and function can have on the form of the final design and detail resolution *To develop an understanding of design generators
*To develop awareness of architectural language and formulation of the architectural idea
*To develop research and information gathering techniques
*To develop graphic and model building communication techniques

Project outcomes: CTD

*To foster an understanding of TECHNOLOGY and FUNCTION and the influence that technology and function can have on the form of the final design and detail resolution
*To understand the properties of the building materials, and putting them together
*To understand how to formulate a technological solution, in line with the architectural design idea
*To develop research and information gathering techniques
*To develop graphic and model building communication technique
